Indiana man, 34, who impregnated 10-year-old girl, gets over 100 years in prison

An Indiana man found guilty of molesting a 10-year-old girl multiple times, which led to her becoming pregnant, was sentenced Thursday to more than 100 years in prison.
Nicholas Deon Thrash, 34, of Marion, was sentenced to 160 years in jail with a minimum service of 132 years, FOX59 Indianapolis reported, citing the Grant County prosecutor.
Thrash was found guilty of 10 counts of child molestation during his trial last month, the station reported. The victim, who was not named, testified Thrash had molested her at least 15 times.
The girl’s grandmother told Indiana news station WISH-TV in May 2017, when Thrash was charged, that he was someone the family trusted.
The girl’s mother also faces charges relating to the case, including neglect, aiding in child molesting and assisting a criminal, Marion-based newspaper the Chronicle-Tribunereported.
The mother reportedly discovered the pregnancy as the victim was trying on dresses for a school dance, then instructed her to say a classmate impregnated her.
Prosecutors told FOX59 that the girl, after turning 11, gave birth to a boy in September 2017.
Thrash remained in the Grant County Jail as of Thursday.

  6. Link in 3rd paragraph takes you to a picture of the scum. Only consolation in this story is what happens to child molesters in prison. They are the lowest order of life behind bars.

  7. There's a lot missing from this story and I question if this guy did what he's accused of. First of all it does not say if the guy denied it. It does not offer anything from his point of view. The fact it went to trial indicates he denied it. Was there any evidence aside from the girl pointing the finger at him. Was there a rape kit or DNA test on the baby done? If they did a DNA test on the kid and it is his then why would he not plead guilty when there is really no way to fight a DNA test? The mother wanted the girl to say a classmate did it. So she was willing to pin this on a boy that had not done it. Did she help pin it on this guy? If the guy did this crime then he got what was coming to him. But the lack of serious details in this story and the fact the mother was willing ti pin it on a innocent boy really makes me question his guilt.
