Four people were shot in near an Atlanta apartment complex (not pictured) on Sunday.
A man displaying potential coronavirus symptoms was among four people hospitalized after an Atlanta shooting Sunday, and police were unable to speak with him out of concerns he may be contagious.
The shooting occurred late Sunday in the street near an apartment complex, according to local news station Fox 5 Atlanta.
One victim — only identified as being in his 50s — was being helped into ambulance when police arrived to the scene, and when cops later showed up to the Atlanta Medical Center to ask him about the incident, they were told by doctors that he had symptoms that could align with coronavirus.
It’s unclear if the man has been tested for COVID-19 since being taken to the medical facility.
Three other people — two teenagers and a man in his 30s — also arrived at local hospitals with gunshot wounds Sunday.
All four of the people are expected to make recoveries, according to the TV outlet.
What prompted the shooting remains unclear, as does who fired the weapon, as the other three people provided police with stories that did not align. A weapon has not been located by authorities.
