Online Easter, Passover services let Orlando-area faithful worship while social distancing

Passover and Easter, two of the holiest observances in their respective religions, are fast approaching, even as the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced people to keep their distance from each other.
While Gov. Ron DeSantis’ stay-at-home order specified religious services as “essential," allowing churches to continue meeting during the outbreak, many local houses of worship aren’t risking the health of their parishioners. Instead, these institutions are moving their services online to allow the faithful to attend without contact.
Below are several of the churches and synagogues offering virtual services for Easter and Passover respectively. Easter falls on Sunday, April 12, and unless otherwise noted, all services mentioned will be on that day. Passover begins the night of Wednesday, April 8, and runs through Thursday, April 16.
Some services require advance registration, so visit their websites before the service for details. If you know of other services to be listed, please send the information to tfraser@orlandosentinel.com.
