A bid of just $50 could score you a recording session with Sting or a (virtual) chat over coffee with Hillary Clinton.
Or you could get a Zoom-powered acting lesson from Star Trek’s Patrick Stewart — and it’s all for a good cause.
Those are just a few of the online experiences up for grabs in an auction staged by Sotheby’s to benefit the International Rescue Committee’s coronavirus program.
“We are proud to contribute to pandemic relief at this extraordinary time,” said Charles F. Stewart, CEO of Sotheby’s.
The auction will be held onliine from May 1 to 8, with the minimum bid of $50.
Other experiences on the block include chats with Sasha Baron Cohen or Apollo 9 astronaut Russell Schweickart.
“Downton Abbey” fans will be attracted by the offer of a guided virtual visit to Highclere Castle, where the show was filmed, with writer and creator Julian Fellowes and actors Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern.
