SEE IT: Mugger drags woman down Queens street in struggle over her purse
A 61-year-old woman determined not to give up her purse to a teen mugger was dragged down a Queens sidewalk and thrown into the street by the determined crook, shocking video shows.
The victim was walking on 97th Ave. in Jamaica when the robber charged her from behind near Brisbin St. and latched onto her purse about 7:30 a.m. May 19, cops said.
During a fierce tug-of-war over the purse, the victim tumbled onto the concrete. The mugger got a hold of her purse, which contained $20 and her cellphone, police said.
The crook bolted down 97th Ave. with her purse and jumped into a silver four-door sedan idling nearby. An accomplice was standing by the car and opened the passenger side door for the mugger, officials said.
The callous mugger, his accomplice and the driver sped off, leaving the victim lying in the street.
The victim was taken to Queens Hospital to be treated for minor injuries, officials said.
No arrests have been made.
Cops on Wednesday released surveillance footage of the mugging in the hopes that someone recognizes the mugger and his accomplice.
