That’s not such a half-baked idea.
Selena Gomez is about to get a cooking show from HBO Max that shows the “Rare” singer as she “navigates unfamiliar territory: making delicious meals while stuck at home in quarantine,” read a press release for the upcoming streaming sent to the Daily News on Tuesday.
Each of the 10 unscripted episodes will promote a food-related charity and feature a master chef, who will work with the 27-year-old on different cuisines, tips and more.
“Since social distancing at home, Selena has been spending more time in the kitchen than she ever imagined,” the release continues. “But despite her many talents, it remains to be seen if cooking is one of them."
“I’ve always been very vocal about my love of food,” Gomez said in the release, noting in interviews, she’s long said if she had another job, it’d “be fun to be a chef.
“I definitely don’t have the formal training though!” she continued. “Like many of us while being home I find myself cooking more and experimenting in the kitchen.”
Whether people actually want to spend their free time dwelling even more on how they’re stuck indoors is another matter entirely.
