“Sopranos” star Joe Pantoliano was hit by a car while walking in Connecticut on Friday.
The New Jersey-born character actor received stitches and is being monitored for a concussion, his spokesperson Barry McPherson told the Daily News in an email.
Pantoliano, 68, flashed a thumbs-up in a picture posted on his Instagram account after the incident. A red wound was visible on the top of his head in the image.
“Joey is home recovering,” the picture’s caption said. “He has a severe head injury and some chest trauma.”
McPherson said the hospital sent the “Matrix” actor home swiftly after the injury because of the threat of coronavirus.
Pantoliano played Ralph Cifaretto in 21 episodes of the acclaimed mob drama.
