Two men were found dead Monday, one with head trauma, the other of an apparent drug overdose, inside the Brooklyn apartment they both shared, cop sources said.
Police found the men, ages 61 and 49, in a fifth-floor apartment in the Cooper Park Houses on Debevoise Ave. near Maspeth Ave. in East Williamsburg about 11:30 a.m.
The men lived together, cop sources said. The older victim, who suffered head trauma, appeared to have died a few days before the younger man, sources said.
Police believe the younger man died of an overdose; cops found drug paraphernalia in the apartment, sources said.
Cops made the grim find after a mutual friend of both men called 911 to ask for a well-check on the pair, police said.
The names of the men were not immediately released; the city medical examiner will determine the cause of their deaths.
