A newborn baby has been found dead at a home in Perth. 
Emergency services rushed to the property at Thornlie in the city's south-east at about 1pm on Wednesday.

A baby has been found dead at a home in Perth and the sex of the child is unknown

Several police cars remain at the scene and the parents of the baby are assisting police.
A St John Ambulance spokeswoman said the baby's mother is aged in her mid-20s.
She was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital in the back of an ambulance. 
It is unclear whether the death is suspicious but officers from the coronial unit and local detectives are investigating.
