- A father-of-three is accused of sexually abusing two of his own children
- He is also accused of performing sex acts on their mother in front of them
- Their mother has also been charged after allegedly failing to stop the abuse
A father-of-three allegedly forced himself on two of his young children while their mother sat idly by.
The couple are awaiting trial in Queensland for child sex offences after appearing at Townsville District Court this week.
The father is accused of sexually assaulting two of their children, as well as making all three kids watch him perform sex acts on their own mother.
The mother is accused of being party to all but one of the charges.
Their children are 6, 4 and 1.
The incidents allegedly occurred inside their own home and near a river between May 2017 and May 2018, reported the Townsville Bulletin.
The mother and father cannot be named for legal reasons.
Judge Williams Everson dismissed an application to try the parents separately after hearing an application at court on Friday.
But he granted the couple separate hearings to ensure there would be no bias against either parent.
