A 23-year-old man has been arrested over the 'suspicious' death of a woman at her home in County Down.
The 20-year-old woman's body was discovered by officers in Drumalane Park, Newry, on Sunday morning.
Residents of the usually quiet residential estate, described their fear at being woken at around 6am to a commotion on the street.
Footage shows the man holding a knife to his throat while being spoken to by a police negotiator as heavily armoured officers stand guard.
Police said officers were treating the woman's death as 'suspicious at this time'.
A post-mortem examination is to be conducted to establish the cause of her death.
Sinn Féin MP Mickey Brady said the woman's death had sent shockwaves through the community.
'I want to express my condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of the woman who has died at this sad time,' the Newry and Armagh MP said.
'A police investigation is now underway and anyone with information on what happened should get in contact with the PSNI.'
In a statement the PSNI said: 'Detectives from Serious Crime Branch investigating the circumstances surrounding the suspicious death of a 20-year-old woman who was found dead at her home in Drumalane Park, Newry this morning (Sunday, 2nd August) have arrested a 23-year-old man.
'The investigation is at an early stage and police are currently not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
'There are no further details at this time.'
